The Albuquerque Fiesta Marathon
The First Annual Albuquerque Marathon
I ran this marathon on Sunday and it was a great race. This was the 122nd marathon that I have run over the years. My first marathon was in 2008 in San Diego. I have been running races every year since then and I’m getting ready to head to Las Cruces to run my next marathon on January 3rd, 2026 to start the year.
The Course For This Race
You start out downtown ABQ and run through Old Town and then up the Rio Grande Boulevard up to Alameda and then head through the park and onto the Bosque trail until around Mile 24 and then head back into the city to the finish line. The weather was great and it was a great race. I would recommend it. It was well organized for the first year of the event.
